The US Department Of State Warns of Look-a-Like Websites

We wish to remind customers that only Websites ending with the ".gov" suffix are official

Government Websites. The Web address for Passport Related Services is

http://www.travel.state.gov.

Many non-Government Websites (e.g., using ".com," ".org," or ".net" suffixes) provide legitimate

and useful passport-related information and services. Regardless of the content of other Websites,
The US Department Of State does not endorse, recommend, or sponsor any information or

material posted on Websites other than this one.

Furthermore, a few other commercial Websites may try to mislead customers and members of

the public into thinking that they are official "Passport Services' Websites". These Websites may

attempt to take credit and/or charge for services (such as the ability to fill-out a passport

application online and then, print it) that are otherwise provided free on Passport Services' or

another Government Website or for services that you do not receive.

A Word About Passport Information and Forms Online

Passport application forms at http://www.travel.state.gov are current with correct instructions

and fees. No other Website is endorsed by Passport Services, and some of the commercial

Websites may not have the latest application information nor the current versions of forms.

Misinformation and incorrect applications can result in delayed application processing.
